SoulCare: Contemplative Practice in Community
SoulCare groups provide opportunity to share life and contemplative experiences on a regular basis and to explore practices such as Consciousness Examen, Lectio Divina, Welcoming Prayer, Centering Prayer, and Prayer of Imagination. These groups gathers for shared experiences of contemplative living in community and intend to be:
- places to pause and find rest for the soul
- environments that opens up inner and outer space to listen
- spaces to encounter the presence and movement of God
- communities that listen to each other and respond to God’s loving invitations
Selah periodically hosts ‘meet & greet’ gatherings for folks who are interested in learning more about SoulCare groups. We also offer an open SoulCare group once a month — the next groups will be held Sunday February 25, 2018, 6:00-7:30pm in Woodway WA 6pm and 4:00-6:00pm in the Tacoma WA area. Please contact us here (or email us at email@example.com) if you’d like to attend the Woodway group or Tacoma group, or to indicate your interest in a future meet-and-greet gathering at another time/location.
SoulCare groups are held around the Puget Sound region on an ongoing basis, and new groups form as people indicate interest. For information about an open group in your area, please email us firstname.lastname@example.org. Additional information is available here.
