Here & Now

In my garden, you would be a weed.

Here, you are a wildflower.

Stems growing in different directions

Fluttering, appearing to float in the breeze

Yet anchored.

At the tips, a tiny purple flower with yellow center.

Buds are green with purple tips.

Showing promise of what is to come.

Leaves large at the base

Delicate as they frame the buds and blooms.

Protected by a stone bench

Stretching toward the sun

I feel rays of joy as I look at you.

Awe-how you bloom where your seeds land.

No pressure to be something

Just being.
