A Contemplative Community for Soul Care
Selah is a welcoming community that pauses, encounters the Spirit through contemplative practices, and grows together toward wholeness and loving others.
I appreciate the opportunity to participate in Kairos over the summer, when I’m not teaching. Thank you for all the support and the offering of Kairos during this last year. It was a true lifeline for me for the first 6 months of the pandemic when I was able to participate. What a gift!!
I just re-read ‘Let Your God Love you’ in last year’s Reflections book for Lent. I used it when I facilitated my Listening Hearts group this morning. It helps me center myself as I slow down, sit in silence, let myself become still and let God look upon me.
As I sit in the quiet, God interrupts the silence and says he wants to sit with me at gaze at me. Be still be silent, let me love you. I felt nervous. What will he want from me? What is he looking at? Nothing. It’s being present. Looking turns into knowing.
The essence of Selah for me is to creating moments to experience the touch of the Spirit.
