Selah is not a church or an institution, but rather a growing community of contemplative companions dispersed throughout the Puget Sound area and beyond.
The contemplative life deepens and strengthens within a community of practice who encourages, nurtures, risks, and challenges each other for the lifelong journey of discovering God in our lives and the world. While not a church or an institution, Selah is a vibrant welcoming community of companions and friends from around the world, mainly in North America, who come from a variety of life backgrounds and spiritual experiences, drawn together through the desire to pause, encounter the Spirit through spiritual practices, and grow together towards wholeness and loving others. By listening generously and responding freely to the presence and movement of God, the community of Selah seeks to embrace the way of Jesus the Christ who models what it means to live in a “rhythm of grace” posture that responds to the needs of our world.
Kairos opens up space to encounter the Spirit, one another, and oneself through God’s inviting presence.
Located in specific areas in the Pacific Northwest, the Gathering Hubs meet monthly to offer a spiritual practice.
Selah offers deeper participation in community called “Companions” for those desiring to make a deeper connection with God and one another.
Joining in these opportunities specific to a certain practice, individuals encounter this time of contemplative living through an individual practice surrounded by others.
These smaller groups of individuals come together on a regular basis to share in a spiritual practice.
