Pearson we’ll explore our poetic voices\, embark on a small pilgrimage\, and nourish our roots of resilience. And laugh and share and love. \nDATE \nSaturday\, September 19 \nTIME\n9:30am-4:00pm PT \n9:00am\, Doors open\n9:30am\, Welcoming activities\n10:00am\, Programming begins \nRSVP\nRegistration required to attend\nRSVP deadline: August 31 \nLOCATION\nKaty’s Farm\, Gig Harbor\, WA (details provided after registration) \nDETAILS\nNo cost. Please bring an item to share for a lunch potluck\, stored in your cooler or container. \nWear footwear suitable for grassy fields\, and trails\, if desired. Dress for weather as we will be outside (covered). \nFACILITATORS\n \nJames A. Pearson is a poet and writer whose work meets you in the tension between the person you’ve needed to be and the person you’re becoming. The poems in his first collection\, The Wilderness That Bears Your Name\, have reached millions of people around the world\, offering companionship through seasons of loss\, heartbreak\, and renewal. He lives in Tacoma with his wife and toddler son. \n \nDr. Mary Pandiani\, D.Min\, Executive Director\, leads Selah\, a contemplative community that seeks to provide sacred spaces for people to pause\, encounter and grow. Her current focus is a posture of contemplative living across the seasons of life. With the support of her husband Bill\, Mary serves Selah while also enjoying their four adult daughters and their families.
