An invitation to Pause, Encounter, and Grow together.

from the Selah Community
earthlings are tender
fragile and delicate
and then they earth another body
within their womb
their sensations, stressors and stimuli
fill their blood and flesh
with fear and love
how the scales tip
depend upon circumstances, situations and actions
built off ideas, feelings and attitudes
a mom can be a source of original goodness
and also the birth of brokenness
spiraled out into a new generation
lineage of not only the body
but mentality and perspective
to the point of ingrown, stifled entanglement
or with an open heart
with empowerment
and encouragement
and reassurance
one can trek out
into the wild world
but to born another
requires a sacrifice
not only of pain
from the body
but to let go of what comes from
into what could be
and to care for the other
who will move beyond
elsewhere into their
new realm of life, being and love
