Registration closes 24 hours before event begins. \nFACILITATORS\n \nCINDY WAPLE & WENDY BRYANT  \nCindy Waple and Wendy Bryant began curating Creative Contemplative Sessions in 2023 because of the richness both have experienced as they explore creativity as part of their contemplative practices. \nFor Cindy\, being someone who is often in her head\, adding a creative component to contemplation engages more of her heart\, soul and senses\, widening and deepening her experience of the Holy One and her own awareness. Often her creative explorations are simply a collection of markings\, color\, words and other mediums that reflect more of the process of contemplation – revealing\, memorable\, and occasionally producing images that are personally profound. \nWendy often finds herself swirling in the wind like dried leaves on a Fall day. Creative outlets in various media allow her the means to explore with wonder and discover that inner voice that often stumbles when restricted to only words. When in her “Heart Studio\,” she freely engages with all media\, recognizing a deep connection with the Divine\, and even dancing on occasion with the Creative Spirit of God. \nBoth believe that anyone can add various creative options to their contemplative practices and both desire to journey with others as we continue to explore\, experiment and experience a fuller awareness of the Holy One and ourselves as God’s Beloved. \nQUESTIONS? \nIf you have additional questions\, contact Erika at info@selahcenter.org. As we celebrate this milestone\, we invite you to join us for a weekend of communal listening\, joyful celebration\, and shared discernment. \nInspired by the contemplative invitation to take a long loving look at the real\, this retreat is not simply about remembering our history. It is an opportunity to celebrate the grace that is present\, to notice the gifts that have been entrusted to this community\, and to listen together for God’s invitation as we continue to grow into who we are called to be. \nTogether\, we will create spaciousness to reflect on the journey that has shaped Selah\, celebrate the relationships and stories that have sustained us\, and embrace what is emerging with curiosity\, hope\, and trust. Rather than asking\, “What should Selah become?” we will practice noticing who Selah is already becoming through the faithful work of the Spirit among us. \nOur time together will include contemplative practices\, worship\, generous conversation\, creative reflection\, shared meals\, laughter\, silence\, music\, and celebration. There will be space for reconnecting with old friends\, welcoming new ones\, and simply enjoying being together as a community. \nThe retreat will be held at the beautiful Archbishop Brunett Retreat Center at the Palisades in Federal Way\, Washington. \nACCOMMODATIONS\n\n15 single rooms\n5 shared double rooms\nCommuter registration for those who prefer to travel each day\n\nSpace is limited to 25 overnight participants\, and we encourage early registration. \nCome pause with us. Celebrate what is. Listen for what is emerging. Together\, we’ll take a long loving look at the real and discover anew the invitations God is placing before Selah. \nCOST\n\nThe standard cost for the retreat is above. While this price reflects the true cost of creating and offering it\, we believe that transformation and celebration belong to everyone that’s why we are committed to reducing financial barriers to participation. We’re offering a community supported price level\, a reduced rate so you can choose the one that best aligns with your current financial circumstances.
