The Selah community offers seasonal opportunities, encouragement and support for taking a day of prayer.

Going into a quiet day allows you to take a “stacio,” a pause before transitioning from Summer into Fall. We start on Zoom to gather our hearts and intentions for the day, offer some suggestions for time in solitude and come back at the end to share our experiences (if you wish).

Karen Nelson has an extensive background in sacred choral music, elementary public school music education and the development of Christian liturgy in multiple denominations. As a spiritual director Karen reflects on her 40+ years of working with varied communities to now walk even more closely with others, as together we explore ever deeper and more mysterious truths of identity, beauty, community and belonging.
