In the context of living contemplatively, we will explore three questions:

1. What factors contribute to aging well?

2. What are your fears regarding aging and dying?

3. What have you done to practically prepare for dying?

Our time will include: conversation, resources, tools, and practices to explore aging well, fears and preparation for dying.

Aging can be scary, and dying is often a subject we avoid talking about. Yet, can we talk openly about both subjects with compassion and honesty? “In my end is my beginning.” T.S. Eliot – may we discover fresh expressions of what it means to age and die well.

Open to all ages.

Dr. Mary Pandiani, D.Min, Executive Director, leads Selah, a contemplative community that seeks to provide sacred spaces for people to pause, encounter and grow. Her current focus is a posture of contemplative living across the seasons of life. With the support of her husband Bill, Mary serves Selah while also enjoying their four adult daughters and their families. Mary lives in Gig Harbor, WA where she knows the value of beauty in creation and the gift of community.
